The Daily Crumb Bakery
A business process assessment and gap analysis for an independent Cape Town bakery, where orders, stock and production instructions moved through disconnected notebooks, spreadsheets and WhatsApp.
Seven gaps identified. Recommendations: a single order register, capacity-and-stock checks before confirmation, versioned job sheets and clear exception ownership — manual controls first, then a limited software pilot.
